About ISR
Infant Swimming Resource® (ISR) is the global leader in infant and toddler survival swim instruction. Unlike traditional swim lessons, ISR focuses on self-rescue skills that work in real-world water emergencies.
Infants and toddlers who are not yet walking learn the rollback-to-float
Walking children learn the swim-float-swim sequence
Lessons are customized, one-on-one, and developmentally appropriate
While ISR was initially designed for infants over 50 years ago, the program evolved and works for children up to 6 years old. Students will learn to swim confidently, but more importantly when to float and get air.

Meet Liz
As a survivor of an infant drowning accident, I know how quickly things can go wrong around water. As a mom of two young boys, I also know how to keep lessons engaging, positive, and fun. It’s my mission to bring ISR infant swim lessons to Reno and the surrounding Tahoe area—so families have access to life-saving swim instruction when it matters most.
Where Are Lessons Held?
ISR swim lessons are offered at three private pool locations across the Reno area, allowing families to choose the most convenient option based on where they live.
Efficient, Proven Training Format
1:1 private lessons
10 minutes per day
4x per week for 7 weeks or 5x per week for 6 weeks
Cost & Registration
Pricing varies based on whether you choose the 4x-per-week or 5x-per-week schedule. All families pay a $105 ISR Registration Fee directly to Infant Swimming Resource®, which includes a pediatric nurse review of your child’s developmental and medical history.
